3.0 out of 5 stars It's all there
The good news is all the books are there, and it's only 99 cents!

The bad news is that it is not formatted for the kindle at all. There are "<CR><LF>"s at the end of every line and none of the different type sizes kindle offers will make the lines come out evenly on the page. There are 15 books, but no hyperlinked table of contents, so if you want to...

The good news is all the books are there, and it's only 99 cents!

The bad news is that it is not formatted for the kindle at all. There are "<CR><LF>"s at the end of every line and none of the different type sizes kindle offers will make the lines come out evenly on the page. There are 15 books, but no hyperlinked table of contents, so if you want to read "Ozma of Oz", just guess what location number to go to because it's just one long document.

I cannot imagine that it would have been hard to solve the line breaks issue before publishing this as a kindle book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great books, bad formatting, March 22, 2009
This review is from: The Complete Wizard of Oz Collection (All 15 books) With table of contents (Kindle Edition)
As stated in another review. The books are all there, but the formatting is horrible. I thought I'd pay to not have to convert them myself, but I could have done just as well with 10 minutes, mobicreater and Project Gutenberg. I'd wait to buy this until the formatting is fixed.

I read these reviews and had concerns after reading all the issues people seemed to have with the formatting. I just downloaded the free sample, the formatting is fine and the first link at least took me straight to the first book. If you have any doubts as to how it will look just get the free sample, problem solved!

Although the stories are classics, this edition is very poorly done. There is no formatting whatsoever - everything including chapter headings is a single font size and style, no spacing between chapters, etc. Also, there are odd formatting marks and numbers where pictures belong. Tables of contents are just one big run-on paragraph (no hyperlinks or even line breaks. Even though it was only $0.95, I will be contacting Amazon for a refund and looking for another version of this book.

There are many versions of these books (both as individual kindle books and as complete collections) for many different prices (many are free), and some are formatted better than others... buyer beware!

4.0 out of 5 stars No problem, February 6, 2011

No Idea what everyone it talking about. it is formated perfectly fine, except for the table of contents isn't under goto; you just have to goto the cover and page forward.

I can't speek to how 'complete' the colection is as I'm not an expert. However, all the major books seem to be there; I think a short story colection might be missing but I'm not sure...

It is definitly worth the price regardless.

I was cast in my school production of Wizard of Oz, so I picked up the books. I adored them! Brought back the inner child. After i finished them, I began reading them to my little siblings (both 7) they enjoy the stories as much as I do. These fantastic stories will never get old.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth the Dollar, September 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Complete Wizard of Oz Collection (All 15 books) With table of contents (Kindle Edition)
I bought this version because it was the cheapest complete collection, but it really isn't worth it. Most of the books are free, so you might only pay a couple of bucks for all 15 books. Using the Kindle app, the flow of the stories is completely interrupted when it says "FULL PAGE LINE DRAWING" then has the description and caption. The chapter headings and titles just kind of ran into each other, and the whole thing was not at all aesthetically pleasing. I ended up removing it from my Amazon library - even after paying for it - because it was just too annoying to finish.
