From Library Journal
Millions of Americans are earning a living by working out of offices in their homes. Some are self-employed, and others are company employees who work at home. The reasons for this phenomenon are many, and author Holtz documents them in his preface. As an experienced "worksteader," Holtz offers detailed, sometimes anecdotal discussions of managing the home work environment and covers finances, marketing, computers, legal concerns, and insurance. Interesting insights into the psychological aspects of home employment are included. Motivation, productivity, isolation, and self-discipline are explored. This is a book for people who are serious about a work-at-home venture or for those already home employed who need support, advice, or a new perspective. This will be appreciated in many public libraries.
