This book is not for baby-preschool as it is categorized ....A great collection of writing activities for students ages 8-13!!The author takes you through the entire writing process with selectedtopics that children find engaging. I taught elementary school for 10years as used all of this author's books!

As competent as this book's author may be the quality of print REALLY lets it down. I find the font bold but blurry and it makes reading the book arduous. I was also hoping for a broader range of writing genres as this book, which is aiming to inspire, had one flick through and is now consigned to the pile of seldom used resources.

I tutor middle school kids in language arts and bought this hoping it would be something I could use with them. While it did focus on important writing skills, the ideas and the pictures were a little hard for my kids to relate to. They seemed like something out of the 1930's or 40's. I did use one or two of the lessons, but didn't use it beyond that.
