About the Author

Tom Cunliffe has been sailing for most of his life and has worked in all branches of the profession, both racing and cruising. For four years he was a senior Offshore Instructor at the British National Sailing Centre, and is now an RYA Yachtmaster Examiner with special responsibility for instructor training. He writes regularly for Yachting Monthly, has won the Best Book of the Sea Award, and is the author of Complete Day Skipper published by Adlard Coles Nautical. He owns a 40-ft gaff rig cutter and lives near Salisbury in Wiltshire. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

This book is usefull for a beginer as well as an experienced sailor. I've been racing one-designs for many years and found this to be a very good reminder and tactical and strategic piece that has helped me quite a lot. I recommend this book everyone who asks me where should they start. A good work..Really..
