I've found that vintage knitting/crochet books often tend to run pretty pricey. This one, however, was a good price and a great deal! It has LOTS of patterns, lots of things I want to make. Also, good information on basic techniques. The only thing I didn't like is that, as with the vast majority of vintage patterns, most of the patterns tend to use very fine weight wools (which tend to be pretty expensive these days, unfortunately).

It's 1942. The war is on, so quit being a whiny little b*, pick up you needles, and knit something. If you can get creative with yarn, learn to love seaming and kitchener, you can make yourself a variety of slinky German spy secretary dresses, natty accessories, and even a pair of swim trunks for that sailor you've been eyeing. Classic.
