5.0 out of 5 stars The true meaning of Gestalt, April 4, 1999
This review is from: Completing the Circle: Taking Gestalt to Asia (Mass Market Paperback)
Paula Bottome lives what she writes. Reading her book can be likened to a journey of awareness on a personal, emotional, and physical level, paralleled with political and social movements happening in the world, both historically and presently. The reader doesn't need to be a therapist to appreciate this book. A totally engrossing, enlightening and cultured literary experience.

Thank you Paula.

Paula Bottomes' book not only distills vital aspects of Gestalt theory and practice,it serves as an excellent source of relevant cultural, historical, and social-psychological information oncontemporary China and Japan.Presented in the form of a Gestalt pilgrims' diary during a series of workshops in China and Japan, the book continually engages us, not only because of the material presented, but because of Paulas' courage, honesty, and wisdom as she navigates the challlenging shoals of cross-cultural encounters. This book is a must-buy for anyone interested in the cross-cultural aspects of Gestalt therapy.
