I don't understand why people can be so stupid-the fact is Avril's a talented musician-and judging her by her clothing and personality is a real insult to good music and the people who create it.

First off, I'd like to clarify one thing. Perhaps track is The Matrix Mix, perhaps it's not. All I know is that on the disc it says Tom-Lord Alge Mix and on the inserts it says Matrix Mix and that it sounds the same as the standard version of Complicated.

I DON'T GIVE is an excellent rocker that is better for its music than for its lyrics, although it is overall a great song. WHY is just the opposite, the situation she sings of in Why is one in which she definitely does "give", and it is also a laid back, acoustic song which sounds almost like it was done live. Her vocals are excellent on both tracks.

Also, please note that the COMPLICATED video is here, and it is much more clear and better-sounding than on the standard US enhanced CD album that has it. It's also its own program that doesn't need to be installed. You can watch it full-screen or in a box surrounded by the blue picture of Avril on the cover.

If you're an Avril Lavigne fan or know someone who is, get this CD, it is essential to all Avril fans and, before you know it, will be a cherished rarity.

I love "Complicated" and have it stuck in my head, but I don't mind. I have been told that it sounds like a copy of one of Alantis Morrisette's songs but I didn't notice that. Overall, it's just a cool song to me and Avril seems like a unique girl. I can relate to what she's saying, too.

Another great Canadian artist. She is very talented, writes and plays her own stuff. Highly recommended.

This is the song that became a huge hit in the US and made Averil famous. This is by far her best song I've heard yet. Don't miss out; buy this CD today!

This is ofcourse a great single with the song complicated. I don't know what matrix mix is supposed to be though because it sounds the same as the album version.

Obviously there's no point in buying this just for Complicated as this costs nearly as much as the entire Let Go album which is sensational by the way.

Like Let Go the other two songs on here are also extremelly well written especially the second one.

I bought the album Let Go listened to it thought every single song on it was so good I wanted to here more so went back and I bought this. I was not disapointed with the second song which I can't remember the name of it is even better than most on the album which were already good.

Why is also a good song but not as good as the second.

This single is worth the money.

my friend got this CD for my b-day and i am soooo happy becasue for the next month or so this is the only CD i listened to. There is not one song i dont like on this cd, u HAVE to get it!

Very good single, which is Complicated. Includes two b-sides, I Don't Give(edited) and a very good studio solo recording of her and her acoustic guitar called Why. If I am not mistaken, this version of Complicated differs ever so slightly from the studio track of her main album. This one is "The Matrix Mix." Overall a nice and refreshing three track edition to look into; this being probably for the total Avril enthusiast, it is her older but better work. In my opinion her sound is more unique and original than some of her later efforts, although overall she still has it. :)

Complicated by Avril Lavigne was her breakthrough single but the real magic is in the two bonus tracks which are not included on her debut, Let Go. The tracks, I Don't Give and Why are strong songs, probably her best! I Don't Give reminds me a bit of Don't Tell Me and Why is a tender and vulnerable ballad. Avril's vocals are really strong, too bad she doesn't make music like this anymore.

The first time I heard COMPLICATED in 2002 I was around 16 years old. I was a huge fan of singer with big voices like Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion, I needed to be impressed in order to pay attention. Avril Lavigne held this quality, the first time I heard THAT voice on the radio, I HAD to find out who it was. I waited for the release and looked up information on the young girl who was AMAZINGLY close to my age. I was dissapointed to find out that she was a sk8er girl, as I was pretty straight-edge, myself. That small lable towards Ms. Lavigne meant absolutely nothing. This young woman is an artist, with a voice that can move anyone to tears. There have been many great pop songs, but someone who can write music and sing the way Ms. Lavigne does, that's truly a gift from a higher power.

It's now 2007 and Lavigne has 3 albums under her belt. Only a start, but a fantastic start to a career that I hope (and know) will last for many decades. Music like Avril's holds close to your heart. With Lavigne, she gives you fun songs ("I Can Do Better", "Girlfriend", "Sk8er Boi"), but she's also more than capable of giving your heart string tugging songs ("When You're Gone", "How Does It Feel?", "Complicated").

Avril...keep up the good work and never lose sight of how wonderful you are.

I love Avril Lavigne. Her style it's very unique. She deserve 5 stars.
