Live is better, November 20, 2004

This was recorded shortly after "Bright Moments", and the sound and mood are similar. Rahsaan was wild live, and his studio recordings just don't have the looseness of his concert material. Like "Bright Moments", this also features a single concert, so you get a feel of the flow of the live show. The sound quality, however, is a little flat. Not bad, really, just not as full as I'd like to hear. This is evidently a private recording, rather than from a professional set-up. So, if you already own "Bright Moments" and "Dog Years in the Fourth Ring", do you need this? Well, no, but if you buy it, you sure won't be sorry.
