About the Author
Chandrakant (a.k.a. Chan) B. Thanawalla was born and raised in Mumbai, India. He held senior positions in Pennwalt (now Archema) Corporation, Sartomer Company, ARCO chemical (now part of Lyondell Petrochemical), DuPont and finally in Dow Corning Corporation from where he retired in early 2000. He became involved in TSCA compliance of organic and silicone products in early 90 s. Since his retirement, he has been the President of TSCA Inventory Services, LLC that serves chemical manufacturers, processors, and importers in registering their new chemicals for commercial use in the US.
