I'm sure this cable would be fine for a PS2 on a CRT TV. Stay away if you use a PS3. Image is horrible at any resolution on an LCD TV. Contrast that with the same type of cable I picked up at Gamestop which produced a much better picture. Still less than HDMI, of course, but leaps and bounds above the near unusable image produced by this cable.

My nephew assures me he can see a big difference on his new HD TV when he connects his PS2 with this cable instead of his old cable. The picture on the screen is much clearer than the picture with the old cable. This cable "works" in that it will send a picture from the PS2 to your TV. Tested it with "Shadow of the Colossus" in interlaced mode and the image looked okay except for some faint diagonal lines that were mainly noticeable in the darker areas of the screen. Switched to progressive mode and immediately noticed a softness to the image. It was especially noticeable on white text which became surrounded with color distortions reminiscent of anaglyph 3D images made for the red and green/blue glasses.

The cable may work just fine for you if you're not ultra critical about picture quality. I've not been too distracted by the inherent flaws of this cable to enjoy some games, but beware that it is not likely to produce a perfect image.

- due to ps2 games being made at 680x480 revs, the image will not fit the whole screen(black side bars), but this is easy to fix by changing the aspect ratio setting on your HDTV. And that will cause stretching. I was able to get full widesrceen(black bar at the bottom & top.they were NOT thick) with only a little stretching.

All HDTV are not made the same so you may get worst or better results than I got. Make sure your HDTV has the correct aspect ratio adjust settings.

Within 3 days of installation, video signal in one of the three wires was lost. I had to strip the cable, and re-attach the copper wires to the RCA plug, VERY VERY cheap construction.

I originally bought these for My PS2, but my HDMI broke for my PS3. I use these on my PS3 and the video looks just as good as HDMI. These are great for the price.

Its cheap and it works fine, I have a PS2 fat v10 and a Toshiba 40E200U1 with the Y / Pb / Pr component connection. Dont listen to other people that say Y/Pb/Pr wont work as the PS2 already supports that output.
Colors are more vivid and text is less blurry, only on certain games though that support 480p.

The connection that goes into the ps2 is a little tight, the actual component connectors feel of very cheap plastic but work fine, the cord feels like good quality.

First off this cable does what it says it does. It makes the PS2 image more clear on a HDTV. I compared it multiple times with my composite cable that came with the PS2. However it doesn't fit to easily into my PS2 slim. You kind of have to slightly force it in. I'm a little worried it'll wear out the A/V jack on my PS2. I'm also a little nervous about the fact this cable doesn't seem to have a company. I just got the cables alone in the mail, no package except the one it was mailed in. I'm not usually one to trust off brand product, especially one I have no clue what the name is. I'd recommend getting the official Sony composite cable for PS2/PS3. You get what you pay for and this cable doesn't seem to be top quality.

The component cable arrived in a timely manner. However, when I anxiously attempted to hook it up from my PlayStation 2 to HD TV so that games wouldn't look all distorted like it does with the standard cable that comes with the PS2, it would barely fit in the PlayStation 2 port, and had no signal whatsoever to the TV! Defective product. I will say that the company contacted me with a courteous e-mail within 3 days and offered to give me a refund or return on the product. I really didn't expect much from a product that costs less than $4.00, but you would think the company would test these before mailing them out to customers who paid shipping.

For the price this is a great cable. It will give you basically the same quality as a monster cable for a much cheaper price. I went from a crappy composite cable that gave me washed colors and a fuzzy standard def picture to a crisp 720p picture. Definitely worth the price!
