After purchasing and returning several shelf I was in despair to find a 3 shelf system that was stylish, made of quality materials and had sufficient cable management for my needs....none had met my requirements...I am a musician and I'm picky about equipment that I do buy and rarely write reviews for anything, so take that into consideration when reading this review.

I have a Yamaha RX-V371 receiver, a Yamaha SA-CD and DVD S-1800 combination player, a Roku 3 streaming player and Sony VAIO laptop that is all hooked up to a 55 inch Sharp AQUOS Flatscreen. The Aeon useable shelf dimensions are 17 1/4 inches horizontal by 12 inches deep and the glass is thick tempered glass, so I put the whole unit together in about 15 minutes and mounted the single mounting plate underneath the Sharp AQOUS in abour 10 minutes...then I sat the completed unit on top of my subwoofer puting a towel on top the the sub, so as not to scratch the subwoofer top and this enabled me to visualize how the cables should be placed and hidden...aer running all the cables and installing the stereo components on the shelves before hanging onto the mounting bracket, as this enabled me to make adjustments to the cables, so I would not have to remove the shelf from the wall after installation.

My girlfriend helped me lift the completed unit on to the wall mounted bracket and place the 2 top mounting screws into the top of the mounting bracket through the perfectly aligned holes in the top of the shelf system. Installation could not have been easier, but I did plan for a methodical installation and this ubit needs to be completely assembled before installation.

Very nice looking glass shelves. I had no trouble assembling and mounting it myself. Although, getting it perfectly level is almost impossible, I did get it very close. The cable management is fair. There's a trick to it though. Run as many of your wires as you can before you attach it to the wall. Otherwise, the hole at the top isn't big enough after an HDMI or two. This can also reduce the risk of fraying your wires because parts of the back plate aren't smoothed very well.

The weight specifications in the description are not he same as what is printed on the box. The box says 75 lbs., if I recall correctly. It doesn't really matter which is correct (although I'm inclined to believe the box). It's unlikely that you have any heavy equipment that will fit.

From the description: "? Any Other Audio Video Component." While this is technically correct, it's also meaningless. Yes an amplifier/receiver will fit on one of the shelves but that's it. There isn't enough room to connect A/V cables or speaker wire, with or without banana plugs. The shelves would need to be at least another three inches deeper to be suitable for a receiver. Regardless, I didn't buy it for my receiver and neither should anyone else. It's fine for just about any other equipment I can think of.

I have a Wii and Wiimote induction charger on the top shelf. Middle is for the Blu-ray player. The bottom shelf has my wireless keyboard and a line conditioner.

All in all, I like it. The fact that I couldn't get it perfectly level is the only thing that really bothered me.

This shelf is very stylish and compliments my Black 50 inch LED tv well. Almost looks like the tv and shelf were sold as a set. The column of the shelf is painted with a glossy black paint that looks like a piano finish. The column is about 2 inches or so thick with an area behind it for cables. There are three holes in the front of the column with plastic cable protectors to run the cables from your components up into the column. Once your component is on the shelf, these holes are hidden. The channel where the cables are hidden behind is adequate for at least 5 to 7 cables maybe even two power cables etc . Note the power cable will not fit through the top as the hole is small and concealed so you may have to pull shelf off the wall run the cable and hide. This is very simple to accomplish, and took me all but 5 minutes. There simply is not enough room for a larger hole at the top because of the thin column. I personally like the looks of the thin column as it looks sleek. The glass shelves seem to be about .25" thick with a black smoked look which compliments the black column and tv very well. I have a 30 pound receiver on one shelf and there seems to be no sign of stress on the glass. Glass seems very solid, similar to a car windshield. I am a handy man so assembly was easy and installation was straight forward. Mount simple steel bracket on wall into stud, suppose you could use drywall anchors if no stud. Then hang shelf onto steel bracket , then two screws at top secure shelf to wall bracket. Assembly instruction in my shipment seemed clear and assembly and installation took about 45 minutes. I would give this product a 4.75 star rating based on getting a good product at a great value.

This is a challenge to mount! It took three of us to get it almost right. Instructions are simple (although there are no words) and assembly is simple as well. You just need three pairs of hands to make it smooth and super easy. As many reviewers have stated run your cables before you attach this to the wall and everything should fit! I have a blu ray, cable box and receiver with 5.1 speaker wires all hidden behind this unit. While I forgot the tv power plug (because it was already mounted), I am confident the cable will fit. The unit is heavy and the shelves are high polished glass on one side and unfinished on the bottom (but still black). There is plenty of space between each shelf so my receiver fits easily and there is just barely enough room for all the cables and wires to rest (not so comfortably) hidden away behind the unit.
