I loved this book. I teach English to a Japanese girl that spent 6 years in the United States. Her mother wanted her to keep up on her English skills as if she was going to an American school. I used the Comprehensive Curriculum of Basic Skills Grade 5 last year and this year I have been using the book for grade 6. I have been comparing these books to the material that my daughter is learning in her American school and the book has covered everything. I also use some of the material from the book to supplement my daughter's school work. I think that every parent should use these books.

This product has been a great addition to our homeschool. As a busy mom, homeschooling 3 different grades, I needed a supplement that filled in gaps, or built on skills we'd established. This works great for that. It's very well made, heavy-weight paper, good binding, great print.

I highly recommend this product.

We purchased this curriculum book for my 11 year-old daughter to go along with her other textbooks. The book has great lessons, but perhaps could use a little more instruction. Even though answers are included (in back of book), I had a hard time myself helping her figure out how to accomplish some of the lessons. All in all it is an excellent addition to other studies and my daughter's vocabulary has improved greatly since using this book.

This book is wacky, zany, and humorous. Great colorful pictures and interesting activities. The student will not get bored in answering the work sheets. Good exercises for the brain. An encouragement to study even beyond classroom hours. Every child will enjoy this workbook. Reading, Writing, Math, and Science subjects are all included here.

I was glad to find a curriculum that was complete and inexpensive. I only wish it went higher than 6th grade.

I love this book for my home schooled six grader. The organization, by subject (math, reading comprehension, etc.)and unit studies is wonderful. It is a great supplement to her online curriculum.

My son finished grade 6 in February. I did not want him to start grade 7 until August so I bought this book to review what we have learned this year. It is an excellent book for review and exactly what I was looking for. The topics are well covered and the reading material is interesting as well as educational. There were a few things in the math section that had not been covered in our curriculum. I was glad to have them introduced in this book. This would not be sufficient for a stand alone curriculum but it is perfect for review or helping a child that needs more practice.

I have my child copmplete one page in each subject, each day, to keep their memory fresh and moving. Works great! No more "I forgot..."

I am an undergraduate that picked up this book because I wanted to get an idea of what is expected of 6th grade students. It has been instrumental in helping me construct lesson plans, lesson ideas, and understand the ins-and-outs of 6th grade curriculum. Thanks! Great experience! My kids are in grades 1,4 and 6. I bought a book for each of them because I believe they aren't getting the education they could have in our public school. I work with the kids on a few sheets a day and they have increased their grades and are tutoring other students. I feel parental involvement with education is detrimental. I love these worksheets and the fact that if I don't know the answer it is in the back of the book. It keeps my skills sharp and allows us to spend time with each child individually.
