Two DVDs accompanying the book present over 6 hours of detailed, narrated video demonstrating 17 surgical and dermatological procedures.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Hardcover, with 2 DVDs, Approx 314 pages, Approx 516 Illustrations, 494 in full color. The most comprehensive textbook on management of the aging face, covering the full breadth of surgical and dermatologic therapies, including chapters on hair transplantation and aging nose surgery. 2 dedicated chapters on practice management and patient care, including a full list of necessary equipment and supplies as well as all necessary patient care forms for one's practice.

From the Author

This book is the most comprehensive textbook on the aging face and is suitable for the novice to the seasoned physician/surgeon, who is interested in learning about midface lifting, for instance, skin peels, hair transplantation, or how to develop and maintain one's business practice. The two full-length, narrated DVDs make this purchase a must buy.

The authors conceive of the broad audience to include plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, cosmetic surgeons, general surgeons, oromaxillofacial surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, hair transplantation surgeons, otolaryngologists, dermatologists, paramedical personnel (staff, cosmetologists, aestheticians), and anyone else who is interested in learning more about how to do cosmetic procedures. Because the book covers less invasive topics such as a systematic approach to Botox and collagen as well as practice management on how to market a cosmetic practice and run a cosmetic office, many physicians who are traditionally not involved with a cosmetic practice will gain practical insight in developing this side of one's medical practice.

1.0 out of 5 stars Read Dr. Lam's Chapters with Caution..., February 14, 2010
This review is from: Comprehensive Facial Rejuvenation: A Practical and Systematic Guide to Surgical Management of the Aging Face (Hardcover)
To all plastic surgeons who read Dr. Lam's books please read his books with EXTREME CAUTION. His writings only conforms to his own aesthetic tastes and you may not achieve the results you may expect using his methods. I saw many plastic surgeons before seeing this man and their strategies, methods, and aesthetic tastes were completely different from his. Must of what he writes about is based on assumptions as opposed to facts. You can also look at his online videos posted all over the web which mentions the techniques in these books and when you do, watch with caution. I'm left with an extreme grotesque looking face with too many side effects that this self professed "artist" inflicted on me. I am doomed to medical bills and revision surgeries to repair the damage he has inflicted on me and I've sought for help and have obtained revision work to repair the damage Dr. Samuel Lam inflicted on me. Not only does it look horrible (lets just say its bad enough for me to be a candidate for a talk show on botched plastic surgery at this point), but there are side effects that Dr. Samuel Lam does not even begin to discuss in his work.

Doctors, you MUST be aware of all the side effects that can happen before you try a new technique! Please do it for the patients who trust their lives in your hands.
