Based on the popular Equalizer 3.0 software package, which is currently being used internationally as an industrial hygiene training and career development tool, "Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene Preparation Database 4.0" aims to help assess industrial hygiene professionals' knowledge in specific disciplines and prepare for certification exams. Developed for PC/XT/AT/PS2 or 100% IBM compatible computers, the program contains over 1100 questions covering these disciplines: Toxicology, Radiation, Chemistry, Noise, Air Pollution, and General Principles (Ventilation, Air Sampling, Regulations). Questions are selected at random and presented in a question and answer format, with immediate feedback and technical explanation provided for all missed questions. Scores are calculated and displayed for each discipline. To help prepare for the certification exams, the program allows the reader to simulate taking the exams by testing knowledge on the entire 1000 question database, discipline by discipline. The scores for each discipline will be calculated and displayed, showing where improvement is needed.
