If I am traveling in the back woods in Lewis County (of Washington State) and see an old RR grade I am just about sure to be able to find it in this atlas, along with enough history from the various legends on the maps to put it into context. You may have to do a bit of digging with a road map and with Wikipedia to nail down the information that you want, but this is likely an essential tool in the process.
