This review is from: SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America - Great Lakes West (Includes Interurbans) (Paperback)
The SPV railroad atlas shows not only active lines today, but also abandoned and not in service lines. As an added treat, it features the lines covered by interurbans, which helped with what I had thought was a former right of way. It turns out it is an old interurban line. While there are not roads listed on the maps, there is enough detail to follow the rails and find old former lines for those who are into the history of railroading. Stations are also shown on commuter lines (along with former stations), and electrified lines are also shown (again, with former electrified lines also). The back of the book lists all the railroads, from the modern day to the older names of the lines. I can hardly wait to get the other atlases on this subject. A must for the railfan in your family.
