WHY I WROTE THE BOOK--PREPARING FOR Y2K & BEYOND

The reason I wrote the book Preparing for Y2K & Beyond is simple: to help people understand the Y2K problem and get prepared for whatever might happen. My entire efforts have originated from a deep concern for my community and fellow citizens to help them get prepared for this possible disaster. But the main reason I wrote the book was because I couldn't get all my questions answered. I found only bits & pieces on the Internet and even more fragmented and conflicting information in the media. So I wrote down 25 questions I felt were the most important and then spent several months researching answers to those questions. Next, I started research on what individuals & families could do to prepare for Y2K and ended up with 25 ways to prepare including long term water & food storage, emergency heating & lighting, sprouting & gardening, etc. When I finished the research I had assembled a full-sized book with over 200 sources from around the world.

So far I have sold thousands of copies of the book in the US & abroad and have had numerous phone calls, letters & e-mail thanking me for writing the book. I believe people buy the book for three reasons: 1. They want their questions answered in a concise manner. 2. They want to know specific ways to prepare. 3. They want documented sources from the experts and not just one person's opinion. I feel confident the book covers each of these areas in a professional & interesting manner. About the Author

Roderick L. Cameron a 15 year veteran of the computer industry holds a BS Degree in Communications from Brigham Young University. An accomplished computer trainer, consultant, lecturer, publisher and author with extensive experience with food storage & emergency preparedness. Roderick was reared in Oregon & Alaska and lived in Boise Idaho for several years. He and his wife Darlene are parents of six children and have resided in Arizona for 21 years. Mr. Cameron is presently working as a computer consultant & Y2K educator.

After reading this book I now know how little I really understood the Y2K situation. The author provides common sense recommendations giving practical advise from a wide range of sources. Smooth, fast reading, installing confidence for the formulation of my own plan of action! I will be ready for whatever comes! This book is definitely a must for preparing for the new year ahead. I highly recommend it!

I have read this book, and used it to prepare. I am impressed that it did not get hysterical, but gave good, common-sense help.
