I used these while moving overseas and they were lifesavers! I've since used them several times, for day trips or weekends away and such, and I can't say enough about them! I've read all the reviews on here (many negative) and ask people to take them with a grain of salt. It's possible that the person who ripped theirs was being too rough with them (although they are very sturdy!) or they got a defective one. Maybe they should have tried a new set before posting the review?

Please remember, too, that what you put into them makes a huge difference! They remove air, right? So putting jeans in them is not helpful, as jeans don't hold a lot of extra air and are easy to condense. Putting sweaters and towels into them, on the other hand, does amazing things though!! The only problem I had was being able to fit so much more into my suitcase that I had no chance of staying under the 'overweight' limit, haha!

Another reviewer noticed that when you roll them, the clothes squish to one side. That's true, so if you're worried about wrinkles, just lay down on the bag slowly. Problem solved!

I love mine and am sending them to friends and family this year! =D

I don't quite understand the previous reviewer; their review indicates they were using these bags for long term storage. These specific bags are travel bags, used to help reduce the bulk of your clothes when travelling. They aren't intended for long term usage and because they are meant be rolled to squeeze the air out, they aren't tightly sealed.

All that being said, these bags are useful but have one particular quirk. If you truly roll these up from the zippered side, the clothes tend to bunch at the other end because they slide. We have found that rather than rolling, it is better to lay the bag on a firm surface and lay down on it slowly. However, that is not nearly as quick or convenient as rolling them and as such, makes them less likely to be used more than once or twice for the purpose of reducing bulk.

There are some positives regardless of the amount of air you squeeze out (or don't squeeze out as the case may be); these bags are heavier duty than regular ziplock bags and can be used to store items to keep out dust, mildew, etc. They are also useful when travelling when you are likely to have wet swimsuits, towels, or other items that you need to keep separate from your other clothes.

I rated these bags 3 stars due to the rolling issue I mentioned above; it really takes away from the ease of use and original intended purpose (to have your clothes take up half of the normal space). However, the other uses I mentioned keep them from being a waste of money and since they are part of Amazon's 4-for-3 promo as of this writing, it makes them a better deal.

I love the concept of these bags, but buy a better brand like Eagle Creek if you are doing serious travel. I used these for three weeks traveling Australia (2 LG 2 MED). Only one Med bag worked by the end. The large ones developed holes almost immediately and the other med bag tore apart completely right before I came home. Plus the clip sealer things kept coming off the bags. Recommend only MED size for travel. LG is big but then you have a huge block that is a little trickier to pack if you are using a rolling duffel, etc. The MED bags were easier to pack with and weren't as heavy.

I must admit I was skeptical of this product at first. I worked in the "as seen on tv" industry for quite a few years and very little of what is sold that way actually works even remotely as well as their commercials claim. Space Bags appear to be the rare exception. We bought some on the recommendation of my mother in law and took them on vacation with us. I would estimate that we were able to fit probably at least 50% more items in our suitcases, which is pretty impressive. The bags are pretty easy to use, although the rolling method really doesn't work as well as the "sitting the bag on something solid and pressing on it" method. Clothes come out wrinkled to some degree, but probably not any more so than if you squished them in a suitcase. The only think I would watch is that they might actually allow you to put to many clothes in a single suitcase, which could cause weight issues if you try and take it on a plane, so weigh your bags before you go. Overall, highly recommended.

Trying to keep within the size requirements of the airlines can be difficult enough when traveling, but when moving abroad it can be a real challenge. These travel bags were just what were needed - easy to use (no vacuum cleaner required), surprisingly accommodating, we were so pleased with the volume of clothes we were able to fit into each bag. A squeeze, a roll, and we were ready to go. Highly recommend this product - simple to use and affordable.

We were amazed at how well these bags worked. If it weren't for weight issues we could have packed all of our clothes for a 14 day European vacation in one 26" suitcase! We mainly used them on items we weren't worried about getting wrinkled but found that the wrinkles in the clothes packed in the bags relaxed quickly upon wearing the clothes. The bags also allowed us to bring extra "just in case items" such as a heavy jackets for unexpected bad weather. I also have two favorite pillows I sleep with that I miss when on vacation. We put them in the bags and they flattened out perfectly. Lastly, they make bringing home dirty laundry easy. Can't say enough good things about them. Easy to use over and over.

I purchased these bags to store yarn in a visible manner and also fit under a low day bed. I did not remember there were 3 sizes but the small ones suited yarn storage the best. It was easy to sort, close although some of the zippers had to be adjusted. I put bags on floor and gently rolled atop them toward the zipper and the air was removed. I put under the bed and the bag was ripped open by the small back end of a staple holding upholstery. My bad. I had to put duct tape on it to seal the holes. Repeating the process, the bags seemed to hold the vacuum with duct tape. The bags were flimsy hence minus 1 star )and subject to puncture. Must be careful and with packing the same could happen so pack duct tape.

Perfect for getting as much into the smallest space for packing. Kept me under the maximum weight and size for flight baggage requirements.

Your clothes do tend to get wrinkled, however, they really do work as described and really do free up a lot of space in your luggage. Would highly recommend this product to anyone!

we used the bags to save space on a road trip. they worked well, you have to pack them just right so all the air can be squeezed out. i will use them again.
