Punch data (up to 50,000 transactions) is safely stored in the terminal until downloaded to the included computime 101 time & attendance software. Communication via tcp/ip, rs232 or usb thumb drive. I liked the clock, it was very helpful and keeping track of employees, and stop cheating by employees. However the software is very complicated. I am a very good computer software and environment person, however I had to call tech several times to understand the complexity of it. They were very helpful, and always friendly. I would buy this again if I needed it elsewhere at the time.

Some might think the software is too simple. It might even look like someone wrote it in their spare time in Microsoft Access, but the bottom line is that it works.

The hardware works well, and is similar to other units out there (common Chinese source??)
It's helpful to use tape to pull off the accumulated finger oils and debri on the sensor on a weekly basis.

The software does not limit the number of in/out punches per day. And it does bimonthly payroll, which is what I need. In fact, it can do any payroll period you want by just selecting the custom start and end dates to report.

It will calculate OT, but will not automatically add time and a half to the total. This has to be done manually.

Time adjustments are a bit awkward and tedious, depends upon how many adjustment you are making.

There are other minor unconventional things about the software, but once I got used to them, I'm just glad it works.

We are a small business with 5-10 people. We needed a way to track the hours of our part time people, and this does exactly that. It easily reads a fingerprint and wasn't too hard to set up.

The software definitely has room for improvement and is a little outdated, but it does what it needs to. I can easily add/edit when people have punched in, and it's easy to pull a report to see the hours someone worked from the current week or specific dates.

The only issue I had was that I had downloaded the demo of the software from their website, but when I actually purchased the product I couldn't sign in to the software with a username and password like it said. To fix this I just uninstalled the demo and then installed the software from the CD they sent, and everything worked fine. This was the only issue in setting it up.

I wish the software was a little better, but I would definitely purchase this product again and would recommend it.
