Great starter guide for the spanish speaking family member
My mom finally decided to take the plunge and invested in a brand new laptop. Seeing as she speaks Spanish as her 1st language, that made me her default tech support guy. This books the very basics. Thankfully it goes a little deeper and now my mom can us this as general reference/jumping off point to do stuff online suck as organize her email; use Amazon, Ebay and...

Third Edition good
I have used the third edition as a classroom reference book and teaching aid. The sample Kindle text available here is from the second edition, which of course is only able to have the older info. The third edition covers up to Windows Vista and pertinent info for earlier versions. Overall it is a good book covering nearly anything one needs to know to...

I have used the third edition as a classroom reference book and teaching aid. The sample Kindle text available here is from the second edition, which of course is only able to have the older info. The third edition covers up to Windows Vista and pertinent info for earlier versions.Overall it is a good book covering nearly anything one needs to know to accomplish basics and beyond in Windows and the basics of understanding hardware and software, and how it all works.

My mom finally decided to take the plunge and invested in a brand new laptop. Seeing as she speaks Spanish as her 1st language, that made me her default tech support guy. This books the very basics. Thankfully it goes a little deeper and now my mom can us this as general reference/jumping off point to do stuff online suck as organize her email; use Amazon, Ebay and Facebook; and even simple troubleshooting tips. I wold highly recommend this as the best option out there that I could find for Spanish speakers. Hopefully, the ...for Dummies series comes out with more Spanish editions, but for now this is great
