More About the Author

Hadi Saadat is a Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at the Milwaukee school of Engineering. Before retirement in 2004 he was a fulltime professor at MSOE since 1988, active in teaching and research in the general area of power system analysis, electrical machines, network theory, control systems simulations, and computer methods in power systems. He has worked in industry and previously taught at Michigan Technological University and other institutions in the United States and abroad. He has an extensive back-ground in power system analysis and engineering education, with publication credits for numerous papers, reports and textbooks in his areas of expertise. He graduated from Faraday House Engineering College in London England in 1963. He received his M. S. degree in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1966 and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1972. Professor Saadat is member of numerous honor societies including Tau Beta Pi, and he has been a senior member of the IEEE. He is the recipient of the 1996 MSOE Oscar Werwath Distinguished Teacher Awards.
