I bought this book because I have a job prospect that requires a knowledge of Quickbooks. I found this book great for learning on my own. I read the reviews that stated that many had issues with the length of the trial run. I registered my product and had no issues whatsoever. You MUST register to receive the extended trial offer, and you must do it within 30 days of installing the software. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who needs a base knowledge of Quickbooks, and needs it quickly.

The book and the disc that comes with the book clearly states that you receive a 140 day Quickbooks Pro trial when you register. I tried registering and it told me I only have 30 DAYS LEFT. The book and discs were sealed. I bought a brand new book. I emailed the publisher and have not heard back yet. I also called the publisher and spoke with someone but they were not knowledgeable in regard to college textbooks so they took my name and # and told me someone would call me back. 140 days makes a lot more sense than 30 days, especially since it is a college textbook and the class runs about 140 days.

Other than the problem with the Quickbooks trial offer, the book seems easy enough and I do recommend it to learn Quickbooks. I'm only 2 chapters/lessons in but so far so good as far as the learning portion goes.

The text book was in good shape, but the disc is marked "not for resale." So three weeks into the course the disc will expire and you will be stuck buying a NEW textbook and have three weeks of course work to do over.

I bought this book for an accounting class. What a ripoff. Given the elementary information the book contains, I cannot believe how much it costs. The publishers ought to be ashamed. I saw other reviews on Amazon stating that they had problems with their 140 day trial. Luckily, my instructor warned us that this has been an issue in the past, and gave us good instructions on how to ensure we get the full free trial. Nevertheless, the book is written as if it were for elementary school children. I did learn how to use Quickbooks, but I probably could have taught myself. Buying this book really hurt my pocket and wasted alot of my time. The accounting class I took was based solely on this book, and I often wondered what kind of instructor would use this book as a basis for their course. I'm thinking the instructors get some kind of kick-back from the publishers.

I purchased this product for a class. The book comes with a quickbooks trial disc, but quickbooks offers no support if you have installation issues. Quickbooks is lucky they have a good product, because they certainly offer no service.

I bought this book for an accounting computer class. I found it really helpful.It helped me understand and use the basics of Quickbooks.

This book was a better price on Amazon than at the school bookstore. It arrived promptly. I could learn Quickbooks with just this book and no instructor. It has thorough explanations and screen shots.

Received book in good time, and it was packed well. No problems, & I'm satisfied.
