Some of the Odyssey productions have lowered their quality, such as TeleVoid, Cyberscape and maybe Turbulence, when compared to the Minds Eye series. This tape is sort of in between, not really groundbreaking but fun to watch. If you're a CG animator (or want to be) its a good reference tape to have in your collection. Make sure to include some Chaplin and Frank and Ollie stuff. This tape has more character animation and less minds eye type animation. I have or have seen almost all the CG animation vids out there and I would recommend this one. For the price you can't go wrong. PS don't be mislead by the Pixar reference, there's one Pixar anim in the beginning, (Luxo Jr. Light & Heavy) the other 20 animations are from other sources. |
