Oldie but a goodie
This is an excellent book for beginners or as a review. Look at the large number of topics covered in the table of contents. Many excellent diagrams. Easy to read. Many basic concepts for computer hardware design are covered.

Great book for beginners
If you are new to computer engineering and need a firm grasp of the basic, this book will do the trick. Goes good with class room training or as additional resources to more updated version of the book.
