Product Description

Are you tired of letting the glare of your computer bother you all the time and then wondering why your vision is getting worse and worse? The consistent glare from a computer monitor isn't exactly the healthiest thing for your eyes. Visionary Supplies would like to introduce Sheer Vision. Sheer Vision is a line of superior quality, anti-glare filter glasses for the computer eyewear market. Our company devoted the necessary time and resources to developing an Anti-Glare Computer Eyewear product that not only does the job, but is the most comfortable and stylish to wear. Here's how we did it...Sheer Vision is an enhanced polycarbonate plastic lens material with a unique coating applied to both the front and back surfaces. The coating creates a unique physical characteristic on the lens that resembles an oily residue or a drop of water in a puddle. This unique coating eliminates the glare from any computer monitor while the enhanced polycarbonate material blocks the harmful UV light rays coming from the screen. These UV lights are normally very dangerous to the retina. The combination of these two materials on a single lens allows the user to view the computer monitor with a softness and a contrast between colors unlike ever before. Not only do Sheer Vision products reduce glare and UV light intake, but our state of the art lenses ALSO reduce headaches that usually are caused by prolonged, unprotected exposure to the persistent onslaught of harmful rays from all computer monitors. All of our glasses come standard in a polycarbonate double sided anti-reflective coating, scratch coating and UV protection.

I purchased those glasses for use with LCD monitor. After all day looking at the screen, my eyes were getting tired. In the evening everything was blurry. Since I started using those glasses, my eyes feel great. They help a lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Wearing Them Right Now September 13, 2008
Verified Purchase
I, like so many other people, work in an office where I use a computer 4 - 6 hours a day, and sometimes more.

I started this job a few weeks ago, and found that I was having a hard time literally focusing on my computer screen because of what felt like exhaustion and eye strain.

I got on Amazon and took a shot on these glasses, despite the relatively high price. These are definitely worth the price -- I wear them 5+ hours a day, and they're comfortable and significantly reduce monitor-related eye strain. I find it a lot less difficult to stay on task with research I'm doing because I can look at the screen without having to rest my eyes every 10 - 20 minutes.

As a warning, the lenses came a little bit scratched up, though, I didn't really care since I only wear them at my desk when I'm 20" away from my monitor screen. The glasses come with a nice cloth to clean them and a bigger, more durable cushion case for storage.

5.0 out of 5 stars A much needed solution July 23, 2012
Verified Purchase
I have been slow to review these glasses for fear of exaggerating my claims. Now, after a month or so of full time use, indoors, out of doors, at my computer or at my iPad, I assert these are the most beneficial glasses I've owned since I began wearing glasses in 1939.

In recent years my problems with glare had become intolerable, due in part to complications following the use of my right eye. A bursted blood vein in my retina rendered the eye useless. After thousands of dollars worth of laser treatments, and numerous complaints about my problems with glare the only solution I could find was dark sun glasses. For sure these helped when outside, but were of no avail while trying to use a computer or an iPad.

Out of frustration, I began searching the Internet for a solution, and this led me to Amazon and a description of these glasses. I did additional research and concluded that Amazon's offer was worth a gamble.

From the instant I put them on for the first time, these glasses have worked wonders for me. The comfort and benefits derived are beyond measure. I put them on when I get up, and wear them till I go down. They are an absolute necessity for my visual comfort.

In sum, I bought these glasses as a desparate gamble. The gamble paid off handsomely.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT December 4, 2010
Verified Purchase
I went to the eye doctor with excruciating eye strain and pain, and, after a thorough exam, he advised me to look into computer glasses. Since I have been using these, I have not had any issues with eye strain. My work is very intense, and I am at the computer as much as 12 hours a day. I have also had eye surgery, so I have to be very careful with my eyes. These glasses really do work for me, and I don't know what I would have done without them. The price point is far less than other computer glasses on the market.

5.0 out of 5 stars No More Blurry Vision September 23, 2012
Verified Purchase
Several years ago I started getting blurry vision after using my computer. The blurry vision would last for hours after computer use. I thought it might have been just the bright light from the screen that was affecting my vision so I bought some tinted sunglasses which did not help and over the years my blurry vision got worse.

I searched online a found out about computer vision and computer glasses. I was skeptical of this product because it just looks like regular glasses. However I am happy to say it works, for me at least. The glasses are not heavy or thick like a bi-focal glasses. It has a light weight metal frame and feels comfortable. It has a stylish/simplistic design so you can wear it in public/the office and not have people gawking at you.

it comes with a small pouch, a case, and string (see pic). I can now sit in front of the computer for a long time, then go outside and not have to Squint my eyes to see.

Also, the glasses has no magnification/ prescription lens so no need to worry about harming your eyes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't decide whether to keep or return May 31, 2013

I kept it, mainly because I waited too long to decide. I have a rather bad case of dry eye syndrome. Not only are my eyes constantly watery, they are very sensitive to light and glare. I had hoped that since these glasses have no magnification, they would be useful not only with the computer but with driving as well. However, if they do reduce glare, it is only minimally, and I agree with one of the other reviewers--when I used them driving at least, the glasses make things blurrier.

These glasses serve their purpose very well. The larger frame provides very good coverage, and I think the glasses are coated on both the sides so it provides very good protection while working on computer. It made significant difference in my eye comfort at the end of the day, and I would recommend it to others.

Frame feels slightly clunky, and shouldn't be handled with neglect (Not that its fragile, it just doesn't feel very durable).

Overall a good buy. I suggest the seller to pack it better, and make sure that the pouch in which the glasses are kept is particle free.

I don't notice any difference when wearing them. I can't say they don't help, but if there's any difference it isn't apparent.
