Computer Monitor Repair by Joe Desposito and Kevin Garabedian is probably the book you would want to read if you know nothing about how a monitor works. The book is written in such a way that it is very easy to understand, and contains good illustrations as well. I would not recommend this book to those who already have a background in repairing monitors because much of the information would only serve as a review.
