Plugged it in the moment it was delivered. Was up and running in 5 mins!! Perfect for attaching a Laptop/PC to your TV - we use it to watch hulu and other streaming media. Clarity and color is absolutely perfect. Just make sure the setting switch is in the correct position for PAL (non US) NTSC (USA) to get the picture.
It would have been nice if the package also had a audio cable (its a inexpensive cable) to connect the stereo audio jack to the RCA input to the TV. Just a minor inconvenience to buy one.

You need the audio cable to feed the PC/Laptop audio to the TV. Make sure you get one.

Remember this is not VGA to Component (RYB) this is VGA to the "yellow video input" on your TV.

This works for hooking my laptop up to an older projection TV. Using the video cable (yellow) the text is blurry and difficult to read. I could not use this for a permanent monitor solution but it works for viewing online videos from the comfort of my couch. One thing I should point out, with my Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 64-bit, whenever I set the television to be the only active monitor it blurs and duplicates. I'm not sure why. The solution was to leave the laptop monitor active as well. This product does have the highest resolution support I could find compared to others on Amazon, though.

This device does just what is advertised. I use Netflix to stream media over the internet but my tv doesn't have a VGA input. You have to tweak the settings a lot on the device to get the picture to show on the screen the way you like it to but it works. I'd suggest the device but the picture starts to look grainy on larger screens.

It does what it is suppose to do. Does not produce a perfect picture, even a little slow and choppy.
