3.0 out of 5 stars could have been better, November 24, 2008

I ordered computers for seniors and computers for absolute beginners. both are fine, but they still assume you know something about computers. I still want something that takes you from step one on up. both books are good, but they sometimes skip a step. I wanted something that assumes you have never touched a computer in your life.

Everything's always so complicated! But Computers for Seniors for Dummies makes it easy. If you've got a senior friend who's wading tentatively into internet waters, here's a life raft that will keep them riding high on the waves.
My mother,78, had been having such a hard time trying to find her way on the internet. After many phone calls (we live in different states) with me trying to lead her from A to B, I thought i'd look for a book that would help her out. shazam! Now she's telling me a thing or two...THANK YOU!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource, April 19, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Computers For Seniors For Dummies (For Dummies (Computers)) (Paperback)
This book contains any important information an inexperienced senior could need to understand and operate computers. It is easy enough for a 79 year old who has never used a computer. Yet, it also contains enough information that an experienced user could reference the book for additional information. Highly recommended.
