This product contains an antihistamine, which is not present in the daytime product of the same name. In some people, this can cause significant drowsiness, hence the exclusion of the antihistamine component from the daytime formulation. For evening use, however, it is very nice because it actually helps with sleep and I find that I awake in the morning with nasal passages that are dried out and widely patent. For me, this is tbe best over-the-counter cough and cold preparation, but it is only intended for nighttime use.

Comtrex is my cold pill of choice. The problem is that it is hard to find - especially this formulation. Amazon always has it for a lower price than a drugstore.
