I have had this mirror and have used it daily for about a month. It works exactly as represented. It is a good height, it pivots to enable you to use it in various positions, and it is attractive on the counter. Both mirrors are of a good size. I remember a couple of reviews stating that the light wasn't very good. I respectfully disagree. If you are attempting to use this mirror as your sole light source, yes you will be sorely disappointed; however, if you have even moderate additional lighting in the room, I believe the lighting it provides to be just fine.

The only negative is a personal one for me, and something for you to think about if you suffer migraines or even occasional headaches. Do not try to look at yourself in the magnified side unless you are already close enough to the mirror to be in focus. Otherwise, you may suffer headaches. To compensate, I will try and get myself fairly close to the mirror before flipping it over to the magnified side. Again, just a personal problem, but I thought I'd share the warning nonetheless.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a quality product at a good price.

I waited a few days before writing this review as I needed to adjust from my old magnifying lighted mirror to this one. My old one had about 3 x mag on one side and about 5x on the other. This mirror has one side with no mag and the other with 7x which is a lot! I have my mirror on my vanity which also has a small light so lighting is perfect for me. Moving the mirror closer on the no mag side works well for general makeup and switching to the 7 x for eyes and brows. I move it quite close for that and everything comes in clearly (way too much reality!). Very nicely made and beautiful color. Nice weight makes it very stable. Cord is clear a nice touch. Height is perfect for me when seated at my vanity. Mirror tips up or down in the frame to adjust for height. If you want "in between" magnification you may not want this for the reasons stated above. I have adapted and am very happy with it!

Don't know how I got along without this mirror before. Perfect for applying eye makeup and tweezing eyebrows. Love the lighted feature and the magnification on one side to help see close up.

I've been diagnosed with the beginning of cataracts and my sight is slowly deteriorating. I had a hard time looking in the mirror in order to notice the little imperfections that come with age. I stayed at a hotel which had this mirror and I loved it. The light around the edge illuminates my face so that I can actually see in the regular side of the mirror. The magnifying side also has a light and makes it easy to remove those annoying defects. The only thing I would add to this mirror is a finish that repels steam which was a feature of the mirror I previously used. However, if I had to pick between my old mirror and this one, this one would win hands down.

What can you say about a mirror? It has a cord to plug in and the mirror can be lighted. It enlarges the image on one side and has another mirror on the other side. It is oval shaped and and has a nice appearance. It sits comfortably on the counter and has enough weight so as not to tip over quickly. If you are in the market for an illuminated mirror then this is a good choice.

I live the mirror, but the light is basically useless. I'm thinking about returning it. Either purchase the same mirror w/o a light and use a lamp (this will save you money), or buy one with a better light. The light feature is what makes this mirror more expensive, but the light is very dim (I have to use a lamp with it). I am very disappointed in this product.

This mirror fits the bill as far as light and magnificiation BUT I don't like the "on" switch. It's one of those on the cord switches. Would be so much better if you could turn on by touching the base of mirror or having the "on" switch on the base of mirror.

Looked all over for reviews of lighted vanity mirrors. Wanted to get something to help my Grandma, who has vision problems. This is a good size, doesn't magnify so much that Grandma can't tell what she is looking at, and shipped with no problems. Thanks, Amazon!

I like this mirror - better than my last one, because it gives you the choice of a normal mirror or flipping it to the magnified mirror. I think it is lit pretty well, my last one was a little brighter, but this one does great for me. I do very much like the oiled bronze look of the metal - fits our decor well without sticking out like a sore thumb. Also, liked the fact that there is an extra outlet located on the back of the mirror (so you use a plug to light the mirror, but also gain a an outlet to plug something into the back of the mirror)- I did not remember reading it had this at the time I purchased - very nice surprise! Overall, I like the mirror and would more than likely purchase again.

This is a nice mirror. However, it is lighter than oil rubbed bronze. Mine came with the bulb burned out, so i called, and they promptly sent me a new one. It is a pale light. This mirror blends with my decor better than my old chrome one. The 8x magnification is better for me than my old 5x. Glad I got it, good price.
