My old Revlon dryer is slowly dying so I went in search of a new one. Everywhere I went, all they had were the ionic/ceramic dryers. I have very fine hair and the ionic dryers make it too soft and flyaway so I had to find an old school dryer. I finally found this Conairpro Blackbird at a local Sally Beauty store and was very glad that someone still made non-ionic dryers.Dries quickly for me on the med heat, med speed. Reasonably quiet and lightweight. If you are looking for a traditional hair dryer, pick this one up while they still make them.

Nice traditional hair dryer (not ionic).Heat and speed settings are independent of each other. Drys hair nicely, quickly, and relatively quietly. I have this model at a relative's house and really like it. When my dryer died (probably 15 years old) I replaced it with one of the newer models that use ions, which is about all you can find in the stores right now. I liked this one better, so I ordered it online. It has lived up to my expectations and I am very happy with it. (The other one is adequate and is a backup, for guests, etc.) |
