Conair Quick Braid Hair Braider

Amazon.com

If you never have time to plait your mane in the morning, or if you're too fumble-fingered to handle the job, the Quick and Easy hair braider from Conair may be just the solution to your problem. While this device creates what should more accurately be called twists instead of literal three-strand braids, the end results are quick and attractive. Operating the braider is very easy. Simply isolate two thin sections of hair and slip them under the retractable hooks on the braider. Pushing the control button up will then twist the sections into two ropelike strands in preparation for the final twist. When ready, push the button down, and the head of the braider spins quickly, twining and coiling your hair into a tight twist. Finally, secure the bottom of the braid using the included rubber bands and snap-on decorative plastic beads, and your 'do is done. The braider is made from durable plastic, and measures about 9 inches by 3 inches. --Benjamin Reese

I would rate this as a great product, my daughter has thick hair, and this was so great to braid her hair with, a very ingenious idea for busy people who dont have time to braid hair.

I loved the Conair hair braider. It is very easy to use and worked great. If you are in a hurry and want a quick braid this is the thing to use. It is a great size, so you can carry it anywhere. The beads and bands help secure the braids so they look great. I would definately reccomend this to anyone.

Personally, I found this device difficult to work. It looks like it should be easy but all I wound up with was a mess of knotted hair. It doesn't seem to "braid" your hair as much as it just twists it. You slide the ends of two strands of hair under these little metal clamps and then press the button which spins them like mad. Maybe someone with more coordination than myself would enjoy this product but it didn't work it's magic for me.

My daughter recently bought this product to braid her hair with. She has had no trouble at all getting it to work. It is really fun and easy. Before she used to be in a hurry after spending 30 minutes braiding her hair with her hands before school, but now a machine does it for her. She tells me "it's sooooo cool!"

This is a neat little thingy. We have noticed that it works best on wet hair, when hair is dry it doesn't want to stay in. It can however be a little tricky to use when the thing starts spinning. My daughters get a little upset that they are unable to get it to work right, so I would recommend that an adult help them out.

My two daughters received this as a gift for Christmas 2002. They both had fun spinning braids in the other's hair - once maybe twice. It is not something they have used since, but mainly due to their hair. This Conair works best with long straight hair.

I used to spend time hand braiding my long black hair. Then I would use craft store beads. The problem was trying to figure out a way to get my hair into the beads. I ended up wrapping the ends of the braid in foil small enough to fit through the bead. Talk about tedious. The snap on beads form Conair were the first I'd ever seen. Maybe I'm naive, but I'd never seen beads like these. How quick and easy! This ha turned out to be a very fun tool for me and my girl friends.
