This curling iron has great features, like the automatic shut-off (haven't tested that yet) and a range of heat settings. I love the sleeve that fits over the iron when you are done using it; I feel that is a great safety feature to help protect my curious toddler.

The dial that sets the heat level is in an awkward spot though, and while using the iron I accidentally change the setting with my thumb often. This order took forever to arrive. It was ordered the end of May and arrived in August (2004).

I like this curling iron alot. It's cool because it has 25 heat settings so you can precisely adjust the temperature for your hair type. I also like the fact that my hair doesn't stick to the barrel. I didn't really have any problems accidentally hitting the dial with my thumb, but I can see how it would be possible. If you're looking for a nice quality curling iron for a reasonable price, I'd recommend this one.

I would suggest this curling iron to anyone who wants to buy a great product for an affordable price. It heats up extremely fast and the sleeve that comes with it makes it perfect for fast put away. I gave it a four star rating because as other reviews have mentioned the heat setting is positioned where it is easy to hit with your thumb. This has not been a problem to me but I could see where it could be.

I bought this one a little bigger 1 3/4, my hair is long and I wanted big curls, the little ones take forever to do it.
it doesn't work at all, it makes a little curl right on the ends and nothing else, it's a waste of money, it comes in a plastic package that you have to cut it open so it makes it impossible to return.
This product is a total piece of crap. Sorry, don't waste your money or time.

I like that the hair never sticks to the ceramic. It seems to me, though, that the lowest level of heat, level 1, is actually quite hot. Luckily I use a medium heat setting to style my hair, but if you need lower heat settings, you probably couldn't use this product. I like that it comes with a heat protective cover so you can stick it in a drawer and out of sight before it cools completely. I believe it arrived ahead of the expected delivery date, which was nice.

We had to return the first iron we ordered because it shorted out on us, and found Amazon made it surprisingly easy!!! They didn't require us to pay return postage (like many others do), and they shipped a replacement out immediately, instead of waiting until they received the defective one, like many other mail-order firms do. The curling iron, by the way, works great.

i bought this curler because I wanted to curl my hair for valentine's day. I've always used conair products but this one just didn't work. I left it in my hair for at least a minute, and my hair came out the way it started. I even tried using it with hair spray, still didn't work. I ended up taking it back an hour after I got it.

I received my curling iron right away and it was just like the picture. It works great, I have long hair and it gives me the fullness that I desire. Thank you so much for such a great product.

I ordered the conair curling order and was very disappointed when I received it because it was not the one in the pictures shown on line. It did not have the stand at the base of the heating unit and was black in color. When I let the company know about the error they immediately responded, found the matching product to my request and sent me the correct item. Not only did they do that but they also said that in the interest of customer service, I can keep the incorrect curling iron. I am quite impressed with the seller and also the curling iron is fabulous. Having a heat cover allows me to put it on immediately after use and not worry about my small children accidently touching the heating unit and the stand helps from having it tip over when it is heating up. Highly recommend the seller as well as the product.

No other curling products work on my hair except for ones that have Tourmaline Ceramic. This works exceptionally well, and I am glad I purchased it!!! The barrel size is perfect too!
