I was going to get myself another Blackbird but then I read some reviews of this blowdryer and decided to try it. The main thing was that it's lighter than the Blackbird. I am very happy with it, it has a nice strong stream of air and it dries my hair quickly, whether I'm just drying it to have it dry or blowing it out straight. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Conair Thermal Ceramic Hairdryer 2000 Watt, January 24, 2009
This review is from: Conair CP2675 2000 Watt Thermal Ceramic Hair Dryer (Electronics)
Great hairdryer at a great price! If you need fast-drying action for thick/wavy/hard-to-straighten hair, this is the best product on the market. Unlike the "new, ionic, thermal" etc. dryers, this product can be set on a counter while dealing with problem areas like long bangs, cowlicks, etc. without impeding the airflow or overheating. This is my second one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Turbo-charged dryer, April 20, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered this blow dryer because I had bought one recently, supposedly a powerful model, that proved itself to be a weakling when faced with my extremely thick, somewhat long hair. It was taking almost twice as long to dry as with my last dryer. I tend to burn hair dryers out in about a year; I don't know if there's any remedy to that. However, when I buy one, I want it to be powerful enough to dry my hair in about 15 minutes (no wonder I burn them out!). The only brand I've had luck with in terms of power is Conair. Many years ago, there was one other brand that was good, no longer available. I usually buy them at the beauty supply store since the ones at regular retailers are not powerful enough. Although I don't like this quite as well as the last Conair I bought, it is all I wanted in terms of power. It blows a strong stream of air and dries my hair fairly fast. The last Conair I bought was less like a salon model, so I'm hoping the motor will hold up in this one. At any rate, it does what I wanted. If you need a powerful dryer, this is recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great buy!, April 18, 2008
I purchased this blow drying for myself, I have very thick hair witch takes FOREVER to dry. This dryer works great and it takes less time to dry my hair the only down side is it is a bit heavy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!, April 15, 2008
I was skeptical at first- well it doeas what it says- the ceramic technology makes your hair shiny and easy to manage-it is also a very quick dry- it does the trick in half the time- I also used it on my dog-a maltese- and he looks great- I think he was happy that his grooming time was shortened btw- his hair-yes hair- a maltese has hair- not fur- has a better texture now- - live and learn!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Why don't they make more dryers like this?, April 12, 2008

Love this dryer! I recently purchased this dryer and like that the suction/vents are on either side of the dryer. The newer designed dryers with the suction in the back, tend to suck my hair into the dryer and I need to cut my hair to get it out! I also like the door that swings open for cleaning out the vent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Blow Dryer + 2yr warranty, March 5, 2008
I have this blow dryer. I purchased this blow dryer almost 2 years ago. I use it only about 15 minutes a day to dry my hair. During the first 6 months one of the buttons got stuck, or frozen, in the heat position. Since it was still under warranty I called to complain. They told me to mail it in and they would either repair it or replace it. Well they ended up replacing it. The newer dryer I have has had no problems. These dryers, if they don't have a glitch, last forever! I had a model from the 70's until my husband got tired of looking at the very old-dirty-looking one and bought me a new one. The price is good as I did pay the $50 price at a beauty store. It's probably cheaper because they are coming out with a newer model.
