5.0 out of 5 stars The best trimmer there is
I bought my GMT200t beard trimmer almost 9 years ago and it's still working well. I use it once a week and sometime's have used it twice a week. I think you just have to treat it just like you would your car, don't abuse it and keep your teeth oiled and cleaned and it will last forever. I've gotten good use out of mine and will buy another one when that time comes!

1.0 out of 5 stars Piece of junk
The bearing between the upper and lower blades is made of plastic--designed to wear out after a short period of use, and it does.I will replace mine with a Braun or similar well-made brand.

3.0 out of 5 stars Best features and most expensive "disposable" on the market, September 28, 2002

I purchased this trimmer for my husband a couple of years ago for Christmas. Until then, he had not used any kind of "power tool" on his beard. He was very pleased from the beginning. About a year ago the moving cutter blade began losing its teeth. At first is was just a couple of them, but now he only has a couple of them left, making it nearly impossible to use effectively. I have returned several times to the place I purchased it in hopes of finding a replacement. No such luck. I have as of yet been unable to locate one anywhere and am considering tossing it and getting a new one. "disposable" defined. If the cutters were available (perhaps it is a factory repair only thing??) it couldn't be beat for quality and affordability.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre and short-lived, May 16, 2011
This review is from: Conair GMT200T Cord/Cordless Dual Volt Head Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
I've used my T200T 50 to 60 times over a few years. It has always been sort of sluggish and quick to fade (and my beard is far from heavy). The thing recently quit altogether. Reason I'm online right now is because I was searching for "troubleshooting conair t200t" and "conair t200t repair." (No luck so far.) I did note that Conair's website does not offer a "contact us" feature. Hmm.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is the crappiest trimmer I've EVER owned! No exaggeration!, February 13, 2011
This review is from: Conair GMT200T Cord/Cordless Dual Volt Head Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
I bought this thing brand new from a local discount store about three years ago because I was anticipating my then trimmer of four years to crap out on me at any minute. Turns out it was just throwing a temper tantrum and it ended up giving me another three years until it died. Unfortunately, when I opened up the GMT200T last month to use it...it gave me about three weeks of usage before it just flat out refused to turn on. The LED charging light would come on when I plugged it, but nothing happened. Needless to day Conair refused to replace it when I called their customer service line because, although I didn't open it until 2011, it was purchased three years ago. This trimmer had a two year warranty. Everything I've purchased from Conair is crap. I have a hand held steamer from them that has yet to live up to its name. I'm about to pay a little more for a Norelco/ Philips and save myself the headache and worry. At least I know I'll get a quality product that will give me great mileage for my money...and then some.
