This review is from: Conair MBTS2NWR Deluxe Soft Cushion Thermal Bath Spa
Overall, this is a very nice product.
If you turn on the blower without hooking everything up, you may be alarmed by the noise. It's about the same volume as a vacuum cleaner. However, once you hook everything up and draw the tub full of water, you really don't hear it on low. What you DO primarily hear is bubbling action. It's reminiscent of water flowing swiftly over rocks, like a gurgling rapids. The bubbles are strong and there are lots of them. The hose is several feet long. Same for the extension cord. Depending on the shape of your bathroom and where the electrical outlet is, you can likely position the blower further away so that it's even easier to tune out. If you turn it on high, the blower definitely becomes a distraction. But personally I think the spa action is perfect on low. The mat stretched out and fit the bottom of our tub perfectly. The suction cups did a good job of holding the mat to the bottom of the tub. They stick much better if you partially fill the tub first. The box says "Thermal". In fact, it says so in big red letters on the box for extra emphasis. There is nothing thermal about it though. It's a mat, a blower, and a hose. In fact, when you blow room temperature air through your heated bath water, it's going to cool down quicker than if you were just sitting & soaking. So I'm dinging the marketing folks slightly on this point. I also ordered some submersible colored LEDs to enhance the mood. I also got too adventurous and put a dab of Mr Bubble into the tub. I was trying to increase the opacity of the water slightly to enhance the lighting (making the color spread through the tub more). What I got was bubbles everywhere! LOL!
