Noticeable Results in days!,
By Dame Jayne of the Divine Chocolatier (Rue du Congrès 24 1000 Brussels, Belgium) - See all my reviews

A friend of mine tried microdermabrasion and recommending it for me but I don't have the budget for a weekly spa day. Instead I purchased this item to treat myself. After just a few treatments my skin feels softer and my pores are less noticable.
You do a steam facial with a moisterizer followed by a facial cleaner brush treatment with some exfoliant cream. (Moisterizer and exfoliant not supplied). The steam and soft brush gently wash away dirt and dead skin cells. I was expecting some kind of "abrasion" but everything was gentle and my face felt great afterwards. I love the results and the timer lets me just relax till it dings! (I also love having at least 5 minutes when no one can bother me!) :0)

Reversing the signs of aging skin,

I received this for my birthday (because I'd asked for it) and I'm so glad. First, let me confess that due to laziness in my night-time skincare ritual, I have enlarged pores. Second, I have the mixed-blessing of oily yet nearly 40-year-old skin that is mostly wrinkle-free (due to the oil) but still prone to pimples (due to the laziness). That's why I wanted this gizmo.
The day it arrived, I could hardly wait to try this baby out. I set it up and, having read previous Amazon reviews, I let it simmer for 10 minutes to ensure the water was nice and hot. Then I stuck my face in and steamed away. On that first session I learned to use a towel to tent the sides of the steamer; otherwise, I'd either have to get my face so close to the water I'd risk burns or it wouldn't be effective. So, towel tent in place, I sat at my steamer for 15 minutes. That's when I learned my second lesson: keep a damp washcloth handy to wipe off the sebum and oils that are loosened by the steam. With those two tricks under my belt, I've been using this on alternate nights and I'm AMAZED at how my skin has improved. Other tips I've figured out through trial-and-error: be sure your face is quite clean before steaming; pause halfway through your steam session to exfoliate with the included brush (with your preferred cleanser and/or exfoliating scrub); for an extra-luxuriant treat, pat on eye cream and apply lip balm a few moments before ending your steaming session to help them soak in; and be sure to wash your face one more time after you're done steaming to expunge any loosened oils. Following those very tips I can say my skin hasn't looked this young since, oh, I don't remember when. I've got my teenaged daughter hooked on this, too, and her skin's looking lovely as well. Oh, and before I forget, I should point out WHY I wanted this for a birthday present: it had nothing to do with my skin. I'm an allergy sufferer, and I've long known that steam lessens my symptoms. This has been a true MIRACLE for my allergies -- especially this summer, which has been particularly vicious. I actually put a couple of pieces of dried rosemary in the water the other night because I'd read about the herb's ability to clear nasal passages. The results were awesome. I could breathe clearly AND had nearly invisible pores. Who wouldn't be happy with that?

With a 19 mo/old pulling at me and my husband asking me to do this another time, it is difficult to find a few relaxing moments to give myself a facial! However, this is probably a personal problem! The machine is great! Makes my skin feel smooth and clean! I still have difficulty with the pores on my chin, but perhaps it is because I haven't had a chance to try it for more than 5 min! Anyway, I highly recommend it! You can do the same thing with a pot on the stove, but to get a chair at stove level and have your face at just the right angle without burning yourself can get a bit tricky. This machine takes the guess work out of it and allows you to relax.

Well, excellent results, perfectly working system - could not ask for anything better at this price. Of course you have to understand what the manufacturer intended this for, and expect only that much. If you expect the feeling that you get when you walk out of a professional facial/microD center from this unit, then that is unfair expectation. Even then, this comes close to that. The water boiled and started steaming in no time ( < 3 minutes). The heat was excellent. The microD tool is decently useful, it feels great. Recommended!

I've noticed results,

Works well. Sponge seems to be worthless unless you use a ton of moisturizer with it. Wish the cone was larger, but I just move my head to concentrate on forehead and chin areas. I've found that placing a towel over my head keeps most of the steam inside. My face feels soft and smooth after using this product. Warms up fast and creates a fair amount of steam. Definately not a spa facial but worth it for the price. I'd recommend it to others.

This is my second of these-this one was a gift to a friend of mine. I have had the first for a year and a half and adore it. I leave the scrubber in the shower so I don't expect it to last much longer but it made it this far on 4 AA batteries being used daily and left in a shower caddy. These are great products

Wife loves it,
This review is from: Conair Moisturizing Mist Facial Sauna System (Health and Beauty)
Bought it for my wife for Christmas and she loves this thing. It allows her to relax for 10 minutes or so at night. Almost like she's at a spa (well, not quite but you get the point). Highly recommended.

Overall a great value for the money but the brush could be better,

Overall this facial sauna is a grat value for the money. I don't have time touse it as often as I would like but the few times I used it I have been impressed & very satisfied (hint: you can add essential oils to the water to get a real spa like facial steam). My only complaint would be the microderm brush. I have only used it 3 times so far and it is already showing signs of wear and seems that it will not last very long. It is suggested to use the brush with a face scrub AFTER you steam your face, and this process works very well at deep cleaning BUt the first two times I really felt the bristles working on the brush, by the 3rd use the bristles are getting limp and are not going to last for many more uses. AND the brush comes with an attachment for smoothing moisturizer on your face, I will say I never even used this attachment since it is like a little flimsy sponge and I know the first time I use it and it gets moisturizer on it that it will fall apart and be useless so although I have never used it, I can tell just by looking at it, it's basically like a sponge you would use once and throw away so I haev not used it yet since I know after one use it will be garbage. Overall I rated 4 stars since the steamer is GREAT for the price and the brush does work GREAT, it would just be better if the bristles held up better, they may sell replacements but I'm not sure I want to dish out more money. If this cost more than what it is here, I would not be happy but for this price, it is worth it, I even sent one as a gift after ordering one for myself. I hope you read this whole review because I spent about an hour deciding which steamer to buy since Amazon has a lot of similar ones that cost a lot more but this one got the best reviews and is affordable so I suggest going with this one and follow the instructions it comes with on giving yourself a facial and you will be impressed.

Help for Teen-aged Skin,
This review is from: Conair Moisturizing Mist Facial Sauna System (Health and Beauty)
As the mother of two teen-aged boys, I've tried my best to teach them how to take care of their skin. They are not consistant in their care, so I decided to try something that might last a little longer than a daily regiment. Since this product removes the upper dead skin layer, it helps release the dirt and oils that were premoting breakouts in the first place. This product has helped my sons to consistantly have cleaner, fresher looking skin. I think that using this product three times a week works best. It is easy enough for them to use it themselves. We just use a skin cleanser from the grocery store (St. Ives Medicated Apricot Srub for Oily or Acne Prone Skin) on the scrubbing brush. This extra "exfoilant" has helped reduce break-outs as well as seemingly reduce the size of their pores. Over-all, I have been very pleased with this skin cleansing product. Now if they could only invent something to get a teen-age son to clean his room...
