My boyfriend and I hate rugs in general but bathroom rugs? Ugh. We hate stepping on them, washing them, hair getting caught in them, and having guests see them when they're between washings (the rugs, not the guests). So we tried to find another solution to prevent us from leaving wet footprints all over the bathroom. We did a lot of research and finally decided to get a teak mat since teak has natural anti-fungal/anti-bacterial properties.

I bought this one in particular because we have a small corner shower with not much floorspace. We set it right outside the stall door and not only does it look nice and clean, it's a vast improvement over any rug. We've been using it for a few months now and it still looks like new. No sign of mold. Water evaporates from it without leaving any stains. No problems with slipping. No complaints at all. I highly recommend it to guests who see ours and consider buying one for themselves. Thanks, Amazon for another A+ purchase.

Product received only has 7 planks in the mat instead of the 8 shown. Although the product dimensions are not listed on Amazon I found them incorrectly recorded on another website. Product is only 14 inches wide and 21 inches long (1 1/4 inches tall). The wood is also significantly darker in color than shown in the picture and has a somewhat glossy finish. I thought I was getting a good deal but this thing is too small and I will return it immediately.

Product seems to be as described except in color. The dark color we received is not what we saw. Mat seems sturdy enough, just about right size but would not have bought if color was accurately displayed.

The problem with the Teak Shower Mat is it slides when you get on or off it. Not really that safe.
Item was refunded minus the s&h fee. I wouldn't recommend it.
Now if it fits the shower floor perfectly with no room to slide that would be great.

in a humid environment like hawaii, getting rid of your old bath mat rug is a blessing. no more rotting wet gross rug on your floor, no more itching feet from fungal infections gathered from your never dry fabric rug. this little mat is compact a good inch and a 1/4 off the floor, there is air circulation so whatever water drips down,it air dries fairly quickly underneath it. the panels dry up very quickly too. its also darker and has an attractive teak look to it. the little wood panels are ridged for extra gripping. does not move on tile floors, stays in place, i like it. does the job well.

While this is lovely in my shower, it's 4 shades darker than what you see advertised. Even the photo on the box doesn't match the color of the actual product. Other than that, it's very nice quality and I plan to keep it despite the color variations.

If you are like me and hate how bathroom floor rugs get all wet and soggy after everyone in your household has taken a shower, then this product is for you. The Conair Teak Bath Mat is perfect for a shower stall. The size is not too big or not too small. However, if you have a tub style this might too small for your intentions.

The mat stays securely in place, so you do not have to worry about it slipping or sliding. The grooves in the wood flanks perform as a drainage system so the water on your feet does not cause you to slip. The wood is stained in a beautiful cedar like coloring that would go great with any decor.

No more mildewy soggy stinky rugs that I have to wash every week and replace because the backing starts crumbling up and tearing. This is a must buy!

feels nice under the foot, and i dont find it slippery at all, but it is quite a bit smaller than i expected.

The size is exactly what I wanted and what is pictured, but it has a dark stain on it rather than the natural finish that is shown (both on line and on the box it came in). Because of the stain, it doesn't match the other teak we have in our bathroom. I am trying to decide if I should send it back or try removing the stain. Other teak mats are twice as much and many are too big for my space, so I may try removing the stain. Wish me luck!

Okay, so I used Klean-Strip stripper and was able to remove the wood stain fairly well.

This mat is a joy to step on to fresh out of the shower. Sturdy, comfortable, and safe when you are wet, what more can you ask for. It looks great too.
