Excellent shower radio,

I've only had this radio for a few days, but so far it looks really good. The sound quality is very good, especially for a $10 radio. You will not have any problems hearing this radio in the shower. Half volume is more than enough and full volume is ridiculously loud. The dials are nice and big and easy to turn. The tuner is very sensitive and it's easy to find the station you want. The push button power switch is also a nice touch. The only drawback is that it takes 4 AAA batteries. I would definitely buy this radio again.
Update July 1st, 2009: Just changed the batteries after about three months and the radio still works very well.

I've gone through a number of shower radios, this is the best sounding, most compact one I've used. I've bought some that are WAY over priced, and they did not perform nearly as well. I only wish it had a clock on it. That's the only reason I did not give it 5 Stars

This radio is a great deal. It has worked wonderfully, and it is super easy to tune between stations. The radio also has a large volume range, so it should fit anyone's showering needs.

Not worth it, even for the price,
This review is from: Conair SR11 Shower Radio, Blue (Health and Beauty)
This radio was purchased as an "interim" radio when our Sony model finally died, until we could pony up the $50 for a new one. However, it quickly became a bad decision as we realized that the sound would never come in clearly, even on the AM stations which are usually crystal clear in this area. So, in general I would advise everyone to skip this model, spend the money and get a good shower radio.

I was looking for a small radio that I could use in the shower and this radio fit the bill. I have been using it for several weeks and have had no problems. The stations are clear and sound fine. I would recommend this shower radio to others.

Third time's the charm...(or so I thought),

Pros: Small footprint, easy to operate and place in shower, adequate volume
Cons: quality control issues (had to exchange twice) I bought this at BB&B as a replacement for a nicer shower radio that broke, because it was the cheapest alternative. I initially was impressed because I found lots of places where it would hang nicely in my shower and because it was easy to turn on and off, tune the dial, and adjust the volume even while showering. However, a day or two after I bought it the AM/FM switch stopped working properly, such that I could only tune to FM stations by jamming the switch as hard as I could to the FM side--which broke it straightaway. I exchanged it and the switch worked fine on the second one, but try as I might I could not tune in to the station I wanted to listen to (nothing but static). As another reviewer suggested, I opened it up and shoved some aluminum foil around the antenna in various configurations with no change in the reception. So I exchanged it again, and the third one works perfectly--no problems with the AM/FM switch and great reception. I have two sets of four rechargeable AAA batteries (Rayovac Hybrid - Battery 4 x AAA NiMH and the new Rayovac Platinums, which are both low self-discharge NiMHs) and swap them out about once a month. The bottom line is that this is a very nice shower radio--if you get a good one. It's quite obvious that Conair is suffering from some pretty serious quality control issues; but then again, the price would probably be higher if they put more effort into it. UPDATE: The switch on my third one is now starting to malfunction (it doesn't "stick" properly, so I have to push it multiple times to get it to turn on). Having three in a row with problems from the start, or developing problems very early, shows an utter lack of quality control. I can no longer recommend this shower radio, even at its bargain basement price.

I really love my radio! It gets every station and clearly. The volume range is fantastic. I love it and have already bought a second in orange. I read some bad reviews but decided to try it anyway and it has been great. People that have experienced issues receiving stations should consider their location not the actual unit. This radio works the same if not better than an expensive sony radio I have used before.

This item doesn't get good reception on any am stations. I have had other shower radios that worked fine for years in the same location. The dials are poorly made and are the reason for the bad tuning.

No FM Stations!! :-o,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Conair SR11 Shower Radio, Blue (Health and Beauty)
On the day we bought it my mom opened it and turned it on, and we realized that there was only 1 FM station!! We never got to use it in the shower, because we returned it the next day. This was a very bad buy. DONT BUY IT UNLESS YOU WANT 1 FM STATION! If you do buy it,then you may need to be prepared to be disappointed. It doesn't matter what color it is. It will not change what stations it gets.
