5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Easy to Use Scale---See How It Works!
Customer Video Review     Length:: 1:27 Mins

This short video shows you this scale, how very easy it is to use right out of the box (it comes with batteries), and how simple it is to weight yourself. Note that this scale displays your weight in tenths of a pound, which is very encouraging if you lose weight slowly. I hope that actually seeing the scale helps you to make a buying...

2.0 out of 5 stars Intentionally False Measurements
If you put a 200 pound weight on this scale, it will read somewhere close to 200 pounds. If you then take that weight off and put it back with an extra pound weight on top, it will read the exact same number as before. This scale is programmed to give you the same result when two or more readings are within 0.5 to 1.0% of each other. In other words, it intentionally lies...

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, A Scale That Works!, February 12, 2009

The first thing I did when I purchased this scale was to place on it different hand weights to check it's "precision". It was incredibly accurate. It looks beautiful, it seems very strong, and it comes with it's own batteries and 3 page pamphlet with nice suggestions on when and how to use the scale as a tool when trying to lose weight.

The scale is made out of 8mm tempered safety glass, and has a high visibility large 1.5in digital readout with blue backlight.

It uses semiconductor technology, multiple load cell system for precise measurement. The Scale weighs up to 400 lb/180kg in 0.1 lb or 50g increments (it can measure in both lb or kg, there's a switch at the bottom).

It's a bit pricey here, but if you shop around you will find it a lot cheaper. I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Digital Scale, June 11, 2009

Basically this is a good scale, however it may vary the readings somewhat, sometimes as much as a half pound. Where we use the scale in our bathroom, we store it in a corner and move it out more into the room to use. Interestingly enough, repositioning it at different spots on the bathroom floor may result in a different weight reading. There are 4 feet on the bottom of the scale where it sits on the floor; I presume that my bathroom floor is not exactly the same consistency in supporting the scale. However if you get on and off at the same position, generally the results will be the same. Much better scale than our previous mechanical scale that could vary more than 4 pounds in the same position.

5.0 out of 5 stars Accurate and attractive, June 10, 2009

I'm on a weight loss program and needed a scale that would be attractive, had a large readout and was accurate. I got all three with this product! The tempered glass is strong and doesn't provide any distraction in the bathroom. The read out is big and bright. I can even read it without my glasses! and it's accurate to a 10th of a pound. I can monitor my fluctuations and make adjustments in my diet accordingly. It's a great piece of equipment in my weight loss journey.

Got this scale a month ago and I absolutely love it. Easy to read, attractive to look at. I read reviews on all kinds of scales and this had the best record. I am glad I bought it and would recommend it to everyone.

I have had the scales for a couple of weeks and have been very satisfied. It weighs consistently. When I first got it, I would weigh, get off, and then weigh again to see if it was consistent. It was. We love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stop sign sticker, December 20, 2010

Love the way this scale looks , the glass and chrome with blue digital display is very pleasing to me. Only one gripe is the big red stop sign sticker that is affixed to the glass where your feet go. It's troublesome to get it off just right without it sticking.

Accuracy: tested three different weigh ins and got the same result three times in a row. My son is on wrestling team so was thinking of him when I got the scale. Tested him three times also with same results.

That it reads in tenths of a pound might be something fun to play with , see how much of a weight variance there is say when you eat a candy bar for example. Anyways am happy with it so far.

2.0 out of 5 stars Intentionally False Measurements, March 31, 2010

If you put a 200 pound weight on this scale, it will read somewhere close to 200 pounds. If you then take that weight off and put it back with an extra pound weight on top, it will read the exact same number as before. This scale is programmed to give you the same result when two or more readings are within 0.5 to 1.0% of each other. In other words, it intentionally lies to you.

In reading the other reviews here, it is easy to see why. Conair and Weight Watchers have fooled most of you. There are several reviews that say "This scale is great. I weighed myself 3 times and it gave the exact same number each time." Well, pick up something that weighs maybe .3 pounds and see if it gives you the same number + .3. It won't.

It's not that accurate. It is just programmed to hide the fact that it is no more accurate than any other scale of this type. But worse than that, the way it does this prevents you from getting a meaningful average. Or, from weighing objects that are too light to set it off by putting them on with a heavier object of known weight.

Finally, the reason this scale gets 2 stars instead of maybe 3, is that there is no way of turning this "feature" off. And no documentation to let you know how long you have to wait for it to forget the last reading so you can weigh something that is slightly different and get an accurate reading. I probably should drop it to one star over the deception, but it is an ok scale aside from this.
