Quality product,

This review is from: Euro Concealed Cabinet Hinge, Half Overlay, 110 Degree Opening, Nickel (Misc.)
I have installed many of these on various cabinets around the house. Hettich makes a high quality, sturdy euro hinge. As a cautionary tale, I recently cheaped out and bought a bunch of similar hinges on ebay. Oops. The ebay hinges weighed 54grams vs. 84 grams for the same size Hettich hinges. The ebay hinges were easily bent, had a substandard spring, and left me feeling kind of stupid for going the cheap route. As far as instructions, how easy is it to go to Hettich's website and find instructions? Right, really easy. I never depend on suppliers to provide detailed instructions anymore, and besides, you've got to experiment with placement anyway, so break out the 35mm forstner bit and scrap wood and get to it. Cabinet making isn't one of those activities where you're going to get a lot of hand holding, so be prepared to use your brain. If you have difficulty using your brain, buy the various jigs that people make for putting these things in. The jigs aren't cheap, but they make the process idiot proof.

disappointed,
This review is from: Euro Concealed Cabinet Hinge, Half Overlay, 110 Degree Opening, Nickel (Misc.)
Appears to be a well made product. However, it came with no directions, or templates. This may be an ok product if you hang doors for a living, but if you're a novice DIY like myself, this was a disappointing purchase. Went on-line to the manufactures web site and went from disappointed to frustrated. I would recommend buying hindges from someone else.
