I was very pleased at how well the clothes came out of the washer so clean. Everything that I have washed that had a new stain on it came out in only one wash. Gain HE has a great smell right out of the washer and several days after.

i once dated this guy and he always smelled so great, well we broke up and as years went on i tried this product and when i pulled out the laundry i recognized the scent and i just couldnt place the scent. all i knew was i loved it so i kept using the product. about 2 years ago i ran into him and finally figured out where i knew the scent from!!! lol

Love Subscribe & Save! I applaud you Amazon -- my favorite shopping place! Do a little comparison shopping on Gain and you will find the price on the Subscribe & Save program is comparable to what you would pay in the store. I use Gain exclusively and must use HE. I hate running out of detergent and I despise even more having to go to any store after getting off work. Subscribe & Save may not be for everyone but I think for people like me who work hard all day, every day having the ability to have the items you most frequently use appear on your doorstep (free shipping!) is a wonderful thing! I used to go to Sams to buy in bulk just to eliminate frequent trips to the store but I'm working now on having almost all the items I would normally purchase there delivered to me through Subscribe & Save. You can also manipulate the delivery date which is an added bonus!

I love the way my clothes smell afterwards. I also got Fee S&H and had 4 pk box delivered to the house, you can't beat that!

I love Gain and this product is perfect for our high efficiency Energy Star washer. There's nothing to not like about this product.

I think that the gain was a great buy and all came within the week i ordered it, and it works very well, my clothes always smell so fresh with just 1 capfull per load!

The scent on this detergent really does last and last. It won't have me singing Warrant songs to my clothes anytime soon, but it is as nice a Springtime scent as any of the competition has to offer, and it does not fade as fast as most of the others. If you like woody florals, you'll probably like this fragrance. The detergent cleans well, too; not quite as well as Tide does, but Tide costs the Earth and Gain is quite affordable. All in all, a good buy, especially if you can get it on sale.

Amazon was selling these at $47.98 with super saver shipping in January 2010. I recently bought a new washing machine and had previously never used a high efficiency (HE) detergent and wanted to use GAIN for several washloads before reviewing. I'm forced to use HE detergent in my new washing machine. Why forced? It's because if you don't use HE detergent, you invalidate the warranty (and service contract), and in fact will ruin the machine. HE detergents are way more expensive than the regular ones that I used in my old machine. With this detergent, you have the option of using a liquid amount in one of three levels, depending upon how you estimate the size of your washload. Since I'm no good at figuring out how to use levels 1 and 2, plus the whole idea is to try to use less energy and water, I maximize my loads and use at the full cap (level 3) line.

With that preamble, how does GAIN measure up? It cleans better than Tide and Purex, two liquid HE soaps I tried before the GAIN. My acid test is my kitchen towels, which start out white, and you know how they can get with spills, etc. GAIN gets them cleaner, period. Regarding the Original Fresh Scent, thankfully there isn't much of any. Once my wash is through the dryer, it has no scent, which is what I prefer, so if you are after a lingering scent on your clothing, this would not be the detergent for you.

It didn't occur to me until after I ordered that delivery without leakage could be a problem, as other reviewers have mentioned. I was lucky. The shipping boxes, were, frankly, crappy and pretty beat up by the time they reached me. One of the bottles leaked a very little bit but wasn't perforated. There is no protective seal under the cap of the bottle, so if the cap happens to unscrew in the course of shipping, there are going to be problems. Should this happen, I know that Amazon would make good, but the preventive step of taping the the cap down beforehand would be better.

I need laundry to smell clean and this product keeps my blankets, sheets, and clothes fresh smelling for weeks. Even handles the stinky smell of dog blankets, my son's baseball uniforms and rugs! I wish they had Island fresh in He--anyone listening?--because that is the best smell ever.

We just bought the Kenmore Elite Oasis. We can only use high efficiency detergents so this deal came in handy. Amount of detergent in the package was worth more than the final cost. Great deal.
