4.0 out of 5 stars Looks good, easy to install and update
I thought the bar bearing the weight would be made of metal, but it's only painted wood. It's actually composed of two wooden rails held together at both ends. The metal hooks onto which one hangs the pots are dropped into the space between the rails, relying on gravity to keep it stable. This way, I can slide the hooks to any position on the rail and add additional hooks...

This product arrived and appeared to be intact, but when I went to install it I noticed that the wood was split. It appeared as though this wasn't picked up during production and that the item was painted after the split occurred.

Upon further evaluation it was clear that the wood was inferior and not durable enough for the intended application. We ended up purchasing oak scrap and remaking the piece. The oak cost $2.00.

I thought the bar bearing the weight would be made of metal, but it's only painted wood. It's actually composed of two wooden rails held together at both ends. The metal hooks onto which one hangs the pots are dropped into the space between the rails, relying on gravity to keep it stable. This way, I can slide the hooks to any position on the rail and add additional hooks as I get more pots. The hooks can also be rotated while in the rails so you can position the pots to face out, or to 'nest' together.

The chains that come with the rack are ugly, but they're very easily substituted.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pot rack works great, July 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My husband and I installed this in front of our kitchen window right above the kitchen sink. It works great and we can hang our pots up to dry while they drip into the sink. It was easy to install and holds the weight of our Rachel Ray pots and pans just fine. It says the color is Charcoal Grey but it actually looks black which matches our black and white kitchen perfectly. We use all the hooks that came with it and only needed to use 2 links for length. I recommend this definitely and hope this review helps.

4.0 out of 5 stars got it, hung it. it works....only, November 1, 2011

can't complain. quality is good. hanging was easy. works as planned. i just wish that extra hooks were not so very expensive. i have nested my pans and kettles, have more room, but the cost is prohibitive when it comes to adding more hooks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for!, February 1, 2011

This review is from: Concept Housewares PR-40200 36-Inch Hardwood Hanging Pot Rack, Natural (Kitchen)
This rack is perfect and just what I was looking for! I have a small, country-themed kitchen. (However, you can choose other colors to make it work with any decorating taste.) This holds six of my Cuisinart pots and pans perfectly. It's the perfect size for a small kitchen, and adds charm, while adding storage. I give it two thumbs up and my top recommendation!

5.0 out of 5 stars pot rack review, November 22, 2008

The pot rack was exactly what i needed for a kitchen with limited storage space and added to the kitchens decor. Easy to hang and looks and works great. the picture was different than the description however the chrome looks great with the stainless steel appliances. The box was damaged upon delivery but the product was just fine. I Hung it in front of the kitchen window, above the sink, Makes it easy to wash pots and pans and put them directly away.

The pot rack was just the right size and color. It looks great in my kitchen without creating a barrier between my kitchen and dining room. I love how easy it was to hang and the number of links provided with it mean that it can hang really low if I want. This is just perfect for my kitchen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great pot rack for smaller kitchens., July 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My husband wanted this pot rack desperately the second he saw it in the house we ended up buying. Imagine his dismay when the former owners did not leave it with the house. I purchased this on Amazon immediately and he was sure happy. This works great in smaller kitchens, such as ours. We have it hanging over the peninsula and we get compliments on how nice it is.

Pros:
- Nice, simple, and sleek design. Looks nice in all types of kitchens.
- Ability to add, remove, and slide hooks around to suit your needs.
- Ease of adding, removing, and sliding hooks. You don't have to disassemble anything to do this.
- Perfect for smaller spaces and hanging just a handful of pots and pans.
- Assembly and installation is super-fast and easy. Okay, it was extra easy for me to install since the holes were already drilled in the ceiling, but I still had to do everything else.

Cons:
- As some people stated, the wood seems a little bit flimsy for the job. But we haven't had any issues with it, so I can't really complain.
- The replacement hooks cost $9 apiece! Geez...if you have the space, it might just be a better investment to buy a whole 'nother rack. I'd love to hang more things from this, but right now I seriously cannot justify paying $9 + shipping per hook.
