Great lamp
We laid the lamp upside down on the fireplace mantel so it would shine up on a large painting. The lamp gives a soft glow without glare for viewing the painting. By laying the lamp below the picture, it makes it easy to turn on/off and to change batteries. We also removed the extension arm.

Total Rip Off
First of all, the picture for this item on Amazon is incorrect. Pictured is a much smaller light. Second, this light is INSULTINGLY dim for the price. It barely lights up the top of whatever you hang it above, despite taking a ridiculous amount of C batteries. The neck is loose and shoddy right out of the box, even after tightening...

First of all, the picture for this item on Amazon is incorrect. Pictured is a much smaller light.
Second, this light is INSULTINGLY dim for the price. It barely lights up the top of whatever you hang it above, despite taking a ridiculous amount of C batteries. The neck is loose and shoddy right out of the box, even after tightening. For the price, this is a criminally poor quality item. Complete waste of money.
