I got the book right away, the description said like new and it was totally new! It even came in the packaging and everything!

the card is just to download the book to the computer and I didn't need it but I am totally satisfied with the product and the seller!

It's a good book. The only drawback is that it is pretty much written for 18-22 year old college kids. If you are an adult going back to college (as I am), this book can seem a little juvenile. Although, if it's required reading, you don't have a choice. Otherwise, I think the authors did a good job addressing the issues to promoting health.

I purchased this book for a class, and it is a good introduction to health science. The beginning of each chapter states the objectives and a few questions to test your knowledge of the subject. There are many charts, diagrams, examples, and key words highlighted throughout, which aid in recognizing their importance. The summaries at the end of each chapter touch on major points addressed. An additional plus is that this book cost less through Amazon (with shipping included) than my school's bookstore.
