5.0 out of 5 stars This album is timeless
This album represents Carole King at her very best. It contains some of the most original, heart-felt renditions of her songs. In particular, 'I Feel the Earth Move'. If you don't get chills listening to it, you don't have the volume high enough. Not in any of her other albums have I felt her energy and exuberance. I had the cassette of it way back when it first came...

3.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable look at the veteran and her loving fans
Her voice is cracked, but she uses it to all the more expressiveness nowadays. The _Tapestry_ cuts are well done. The best thing is when she is joined by Graham Nash and David Crosby on the second version of "You've Got A Friend". A warm, pleasurable listen.

I had the cassette of it way back when it first came out and it got lost in a move. I simply could not be without it and that's when I ordered the c.d. I have it in the car and have put it on my iPod. It's a classic and a must-have.

5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE GREATEST!, May 2, 2003
This review is from: In Concert (Audio CD)
I HEARD AND SAW THIS CONCERT ON PBS-TV IN 1993 FROM CONNECTICUT. I THINK CAROLE KING IS THE GREATEST ANYWAY BUT IF YOU WANT TO HEAR A FANTASTIC LIVE CONCERT THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY! THE SONGS 'I FEEL THE EARTH MOVE' AND 'LOCOMOTION' ARE FANTASTIC! WATCHING THIS ON TV WAS UNREAL BECAUSE ON ONE OF THESE TWO SONGS CAROLE IS ON TOP OF HER PIANO DANCING! IT IS AN AWESOME CONCERT EXPERIENCE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well done!, March 22, 2000

Carole King really rocks on this album. You can hear her having fun all the way through. She adds more than just a piano and guitar for this concert but she really parties. I listened to every song and she really puts alot of depth into each song. The concert video is also available and it is just as much fun to watch as to listen! Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Carole at her best!, July 30, 2003

This album is awesome! The instrumentals are worth the price alone. And when you figure in the fact that Carole wrote or co-wrote all the songs included; I mean the woman has talent. Historical talent! Listen with headphones and you won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well done, energetic live performance, January 31, 2010

Carole King does her impressive body of work tremendous justice in this live set, recorded in the early 90s. Listening to the CD today, I was struck by how many standards emerged from King, both as performer and songwriter. The "Tapestry" cuts are great, particularly "I Feel The Earth Move," "It's Too Late" (interspersed with great solos for piano and guitar), and "Beautiful." Also of excellent quality are the songs done with Slash, among them "Chains" and "Locomotion."

4.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware; not the complete show, May 15, 2008
This review is from: In Concert (Audio CD)
Although this was an excellent concert you should be aware that one segment from the DVD (a very good segment) is missing. Carole does an oldies medley that is just great. I would have given this 5 stars had it been included. The performance was excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Carol King In Concert, July 12, 2007
This review is from: In Concert (Audio CD)
I often avoid live albums but this one was exceptional. It had quality , energy and a great sampling of Carol King over the years.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great music, not my preferred format, March 8, 2007
This review is from: In Concert (Audio CD)
I bought this CD instead of other Carole King CD's because it contained the largest collection of the songs I wanted to hear. But I was disappointed because of the live sound. Not that the music isn't great. I realized after-the-fact that I prefer the studio recorded, fully-instrumented version over the live style.
