Like a prior reviewer, I have no idea why the title of this includes "published in 3 parts" as my book is complete for the clarinet parts. So, don't let that throw you. I think they mean that you can buy one book with the clarinet parts only (this book) or another book with the piano parts only, or a third version that comes with a CD.

I'm a professional clarinetist and private teacher, and I use this book all the time. To clear things up, it IS published in three parts. This should just be the clarinet part. If you are interested in playing any of these pieces for a recital, solo contest, or audition, you must purchase the PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT book as well. The third version is (to my knowledge) the solo part and a piano accompaniment cd, not the piano music, but I may be wrong. This is great if you want to hear the full piece while practicing.

The pieces in here are good mid-to upper level pieces. There's musically challenging slow movements from Mozart, Schumann and Brahms, as well as some more technically flashy pieces. It's a great book for the price. I highly recommend it for strong middle school/high school students or anyone looking for good (and affordable) music.

The selections are not too difficult, and would be suitable for someone who has to audition for Julliard. I don't know about the three parts, since mine is self contained.
