Dionne sings her hits and others, April 2, 2005
This review is from: In Concert - This Guy's in Love With (DVD)
This is a great video of Dionne singing her classic hits including Alfie and then others like Olivia Newton-John's Have You Never Been Mellow, Captain and Tennile's Love Will Keep Us Together, and some others. I think she may sing ever been mellow but anyway, Dionne's best is when she does her own hits in a medley. Her voice I will admit and I'm a big fan was better then. One of the other Dionne DVD reviewed that was shot in a soggy outdoor setting was a disappointment to me. Her voice seemed very weary and certainly not as much energy. I say Dionne with Burt Bacharach several years ago and she was fantastic and I even met her and Burt. Walk on By, Don't Make Me Over, Reach Out for Me, Always Something There to Remind Me, Anyone Who Had a Heart, Say a Little Prayer, Message to Michael, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, Then Came You and Promises, Promises are all here. She opens the medley with Thank Heaven for Little Girls with new words. It's a little weird but she is in her element singing her own songs. Actually, I guess the list I made is actually two medleys. Also, be careful because I bought this twice under two different names, This Girl's in Love with You and Dione Warwick. She is singing from the Jubilee Hall in Canada. She was a lot younger then and stands and has a lot of energy. Dionne truly is a legend.

Dionne Live from the 70's, December 14, 2004
This review is from: In Concert - This Guy's in Love With (DVD)
It's so rare to hear live recordings from Dionne during the 70's, i know there must be more out there... now this DVD & CD is great! To hear Dionne sing 'Once You Hit The Road' a hit for her you never hear now is a joy!!! Now the sound could've been remastered, it sometimes fades it and out, but the picture quality is fantastic!
