Amongst jazz guitarists are the incredibly talented schredders, such as Mike Stern, and the polar opposites that play quit, accessible, and at times tasteful, swinging music. Gene Bertoncini is one of the premier representatives of the latter group. Concerti exemplifies what Bertoncini is all about. It's an excellent recording and is highly recommended.

Gene Bertoncini is obviously a very accomplished musician. This disc contains lots of high-quality music that's well-played and easy on the ears. Also, a very interesting combination of instruments for a "jazz" album.
