This recording is by one of Indias finest, most accomplished sitar players. He is the YoYo Ma, the Eric Clapton of the sitar musicians. Exceptional in every respect. I love the sitar & Datta is the best of the best. If you are a fan of the stringed instruments, but are not familiar with sitar music please treat yourself to this CD. Too many of contemporary sitar players were coopted by the western notions of pop music or else have remained so faithful to ancient works that their recordings are boring, bland, aimless. This CD is spectacular music.
